When I was growing up there was a commercial for the US Army that had a tagline “We do more before 9am than most people do all day.” This morning, as I sit down to write it is just after 9am and I’ve used three cameras to capture some captivating images of the fog that hanging out here in Washington, DC. For the first time in over 6 months, I put on my BlackRapid double camera harness and led students in a photographic capture session and I feel great. I feel super energized.

As excited as I am part of me reminds me that it is a mirage, isn’t it? The ability to be present with students and ‘carry on’- even though we are still in the middle of a pandemic. It makes my head hurt a bit- the risk vs. reward dance in my head.
